Sales Engineer

Flex Metrics is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our growing team. Flex is a leading provider of factory floor production visualization and decision support software with deployments on over 1,000 production lines at manufacturers located in the USA, Canada, Latin America and Europe.

 

As a Sales Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to significantly impact the growth of our company and help redefine the way the manufacturing world works. We’re looking for people who embrace aggressive goals and work hard to achieve them. You’ll handle the sales process from marketing qualified, to booking discovery calls, and closing deals with managers and executives of medium and large-sized manufacturing corporations. This individual puts the best interests of the clients first and is excited to work for one of the most innovative tech companies in IoT, Industry 4.0, and Big Data Analytics. You’ll work closely with Flex's Customer Success team.

 

If you enjoy the concept of how things are made, Flex customers manufacture everything from drinking cups to books to automotive supplies. You will be in the unique position of helping these world-class manufacturers accelerate their digital transformation using performance dashboards and scorecards that create a data driven work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Evangelizing Flex's vision for smart manufacturing

  • Understanding of the enterprise sales process and how to navigate large organizations to successfully sell high-value solutions to committees and cross-functional groups

  • Developing lasting business relationships with executive decision makers

  • Prospecting new logos, securing pilots leading to initial roll-out, up-sell, and cross-sells

  • Qualifying inbound leads to forecasted opportunities

  • Maintaining accurate pipeline and forecasts with CRM

  • Achieving deal size and revenue quotas

  • Conducting market analysis to determine business opportunities and market penetration.

  • Tracking all sales activities and taking in depth notes for distribution to the marketing team

  • Representing Flex at industry trade shows and conferences

  • Traveling as-needed (estimating 10-30%) to prospect and client sites

Required Skills / Qualifications / Experience

  • 5-10+ years of experience in sales of B2B SaaS, industrial automation or similar products.

  • Experience working closely as a partner with prospective clients to understand needs

  • Track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive quota/revenue target

  • Experience with CRM systems

  • Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning and communication skills (written and oral)

  • Team player mentality but able to work independently as required

  • Energetic, aggressive, focused and a highly motivated self-starter

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or related field

  • Data analytics, Industry 4.0 and IoT / IIoT experience
